  • Manage and oversee the operations of the accounting department including:
    • month-end and year-end process
    • cash receipting
    • accounts payable/accounts receivable
    • general ledger
  • Prepare and review month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review Bank Statements
  • Manage the company payroll process
  • Become an expert on the TRAMS Accounting system
  • Maintain State Filings
  • Maintain month-end close checklist and Accounting Policies and Procedures manual
  • Assist CFO with:
    • Review of month-end variances versus Budget and KPI’s
    • Forecast and Budget process
    • Year-end tax preparation work
  • Special Projects and research as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
  • Degree in Accounting
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
  • Ability to direct and supervise (current staff of 3)
  • Team management skills
  • Advanced computer skills with MS Office, accounting software, and databases
